"We Three" a Garwood built in the mid forty's, is a truly wonderful boat that was purchased by Dr. W.D. Shelly and his wife Dianne, in 1995 for the original owner's daughter, who had decided to let her father's pride and joy, leave the family where "We Three" had been since being purchased in January, 1946 from the floor at Hearn's Department Store where he had taken his daughter to buy new clothes for the coming year. When seeing the boat on display he fell in love with it immediately and wanted it. Her father had just purchased a camp on Long Lake and this would be the perfect boat to go with the camp. He spoke to the salesman that was there and was told that if he, indeed, wanted a new Garwood, he would give this particular boat some consideration since the word had it that the Garwood Corporation was going to be closed down. He looked at it for about ten seconds and bought it on the spot. "We Three" was delivered that Spring in April.
"We Three" had a long and lovely life on Long Lake and taken care of with joy and love. When Mr. Ranney passed away, she was in her berth, in the boat house at camp, where she remained for some eighteen years and when purchased was simply moved up Long Lake to her new home with the Shelly's. At the time of her purchase, she was gone over completely and found to be TOTALLY original with the engine being the Chrysler 115, all planking, bottom and decking, perfect. She has had the upholstery re-done to the best it could be as it was when she was delivered. After all the years of use by the original family, which was not that much, "We Three" would only be taken out on calm and clear days for short runs down the lake. Asking $55,000
